What’s your favorite piece of advice you’ve gotten from a Coach or member at Progression?
The advice comes from watching our 5:30 am inspirations Jerry & Linda Weltzin. Two senior member who show up and work hard everyday so they can be active away from the gym.
How has your outlook on health/fitness changed since starting at Progression?
I’ve realized how much strength plays apart in all other aspects of life. We recently took a family vacation out west, we were climbing Belle Rock, and my gains made it easy. I actually had to use the bear crawl. As we have done this as part of a warm up or in a workout, I would think to myself, where in the world would I ever need to use the bear crawl in daily life. It came in handy climbing the rock!
What has been your fondest memory during your time at Progression?
Jerry’s 74th and 75th Birthday Burpees!
Why do you think you’ve stuck with Progression?
My accountability partner and the Coaching.
What would be your one pie of advice for someone who’s just joining Progression?
Don’t be intimidated, we all have moments, days and weeks, we all struggle. Each day we have a choice to make.
Ariane, you and Mike make 5:30 class enjoyable for Linda and I. Both of you are easy to let our hair down with, family troubles, workout weakness, how sore we are, what did we do on the weekend, you are family like it or not. I am probably old enough to be your Dad, but I don’t feel that way at all. Equals in the gym is what I feel. I can not keep up with the young bucks and buckettes, but I try. I see the effort you and Mike display at the gym and try to do the same. Some days are golden and some are not. Keep coming to the gym, keep inspiring us all. Way to go Ariane. Friends forever I hope.
