The chaser of Rabbits, Goes hungry.

I was on a bike ride last night with the Father(Dad) of two young bikers. They had recently been accepted onto an Olympic prep biking team.

What got them there? The young bikers’ parents hired a coach.

“I would just burn them out. We would go out and ride for 6 hours sometimes, just because it was a nice day. Now they have a plan, and they follow it because it is their coach telling them what to do, not their dad.”

There is a huge reason people with coaches do better than those without.

There are a lot of shiny things out there, and you can’t do them all. They all look and sound great. They are great distractions.

Doing it all is madness and not good for you at all. It is more likely wrong for you.

You probably know about overtraining and injury, but your goal should be the optimal amount of exercise. There is an optimal amount, just as there is an optimal amount of food to eat. ( Ask our nutrition coaches!)

Too little, and your progress will be slow. Listening to your friends who are worried about you because you seem to work out every day or 3x a week, which appears excessive to them, will not be beneficial. Just as doing too many workouts will be just as damaging.

Our group training classes feature an outstanding balance. They are not too much and not too little. Many are tempted to do more. Some need more, but most do not. More is not the path to success.

More is NOT better. Better is better. This is a well-known statement. I didn’t make it up. It is so true that you already know it. I am just putting it here again, so you see it. Again.

You have a coach. That coach is your filter.

Your coaches are here to tell you what’s optimal, not what’s minimal.

At Progression and Regent, our coaches want to talk to you every 3-4 months. One-on-one, in person. We want you to get on the InBody every month. We want to know about your goals, review your progress, and then give you the best possible prescription.

Now is a perfect time to talk to a coach about your goals. Let us know!

You have us to filter the madness. Use us to run that new fad diet through another person’s eyes. Our coaches do this full time. This is what they do. If this new fad diet is the bee’s knees, they will know why it is working and apply it to your goals.

When we are back in the gym, remember, we train in a group but tailor individually: That’s what our coaches do. If you need a change, this is our job.

You have a coach.

They’re a filter.

I have destroyed myself plenty. It did nothing to improve my fitness or health. Let us help you not follow in those footsteps.
