Murph is coming!   Read the post and get ready for the biggest work out of the year in Rochester, MN.  As a Progressionite, you love to hate Murph.  One of the longest Hero WODs and arguably the hardest.  If you have never participated in our Murph event, You should plan on it this year.  May 30th is the date.  Save it!  It is easily our biggest group workout of the year and probably the biggest group workout in Rochester, MN.  With up to 150 people completing the Work out in a 2-hour span of time. Here is the workout: I highly encourage you to read the story of Murph here: Lieutenant Murphy You can also watch the movie “Lone Survivor” which tells the story. What brought you to Progression Fitness? I had been Crossfitting for a few years prior to moving and knew we wanted to get established with a gym in our new city. When we found out we were moving to Rochester we asked several people who were familiar with the gyms in the area and each of them independently said ‘Progression is the only choice, hands down.’ Visited once and before leaving had signed up for our memberships When do you usually work out? 6 am – not by preference, but scheduling necessity. I have grown to be comfortable once I’m there, but getting out of bed is a struggle every morning! What do you like to do with your free time? Free time is almost completely occupied with family time. With two little girls (age 7 and 1) there is always a game to play, a dance to watch, or...

Member Spotlight: Teresa Enger What brought you to Progression Fitness? Answer…  My nephew initially sparked my interest in CrossFit, but I thought I was too old and out of shape for this type of workout. Eight months ago, after a PT appointment at Progression Fitness, I watched part of a class that re-sparked that interest. I made the call for an introduction to the gym, and that’s when I met Nic. I signed up for the 4 week trial and the rest is history!  Thanks, Nic! When do you usually work out? I love the 5 AM class (the best way to start the day). I often attend 3 PM class.  I live 35 minutes away from the gym, so anytime that works with my schedule.  What do you like to do with your free time? Attend class at Progression Fitness, of course. I also love to camp, hike, bike,...

You may not know Linda, but the likelihood is you have seen her around the gym. She has been putting in a lot of hard work – and it’s paying off BIG TIME! We are so happy to be a part of Linda’s journey and to be able to share it with our community. Thanks for being an inspiration to us all, Linda! Keep up the hard work! What brought you to Progression Fitness? I was working for HGST (now WD, on the IBM campus), and they had a gym on-site that was run by Progression.  The company management at that time promoted CrossFit and fitness.  When my work schedule finally permitted it, I started with the Tues/Thurs Rev class.  Later I started coming to 5:30 am here Mon/Wed/Fri.  By the time I retired in 2017 I was hooked! When do you usually work out? I am a morning person,...

February is here. A new month, a short month. The month before, the hope of spring starts swirling in our brains. It is a short month, this is good! Let’s plan our month and knock out that plan. Stay active and busy, practice better nutrition, and focus on a new hobby. Our last chance before spring is to spend some time working on ourselves to be better for those around us. How many workouts are you doing this month? Write it down. Are you meal prepping this month? What days? Write it down. Are you spending time with your significant other this month? When? Set a date. Special events with the kids this month? Plan at least one. The key to having a great month is planning. Start with the four things above. And knock them out! Have a great month! Joshua J Grenell
