What percentage of a person’s ideas and beliefs must you agree with to agree with them.  Do all your friends agree with you 100%? If not, are you ok being their friend?    I find myself pretty evenly split on my friend realm. I have friends who disagree with each other significantly, and I have friends I can’t entirely agree with. It doesn’t bother me. We all are tolerant of each other. A lot of that has to do with respect. And we do not make our disagreements the focus of our relationship.  Also, it is important to note that none of my friends live in the fringes of society or are bigots. Families with active bigotry are difficult, I am not denying that. The tips I list below can still help.   My friendships focus on tasks, fun, sports, or we are focused on ideas or beliefs on which...

In the Sisyphus story, Sisyphus was punished for his wickedness by being forced to roll a boulder up a hill for eternity. Is it a fair trade to roll a boulder up a hill to live forever? Is a life of misery a life worth living? Don’t struggle with the questions too long. The answer is no. And the things I am going to suggest are not miserable. =-) We know that it takes very little to battle the chronic illnesses that permeate our society. 85% or more of the conditions that incapacitate and kill Americans are preventable by lifestyle choices. Heredity is not to blame for the vast majority of these conditions. Here are the three simple steps. The order is not specific. Eat minimally processed food, and do not over-consume. I started my meditation practice during the early months of the pandemic, and this walk is when I did it. I wrote about meditation here: Meditation It isn’t complicated, and you can do it in as little a minute a day. It has helped me get back to what matters every day. How I treat people, how I can help people, and things I need to work on today to move forward and get better. My dog Badger, also really enjoys the walk. What are you doing daily to help yourself be better? Is there something you can start doing? Small habits can make significant changes. Joshua J Grenell,

By Clara Yori First I should note that I am not a professional of physical therapy or coaching movements. I do have a background in massage therapy and I am a professional at getting injured. Don’t take my words as medical advice. I tend to ride the line between pushing hard and overdoing it, but I’d like to think I have learned from each setback. Injuries happen in all sorts of ways and I have tried them all. A few ways to get injured: don’t listen to your coach, don’t get enough sleep, repeat movements that hurt over and over. Sometimes an accident happens and suddenly you find yourself with a pretty serious pain. A wise chiropractor once told me, “The body has a remarkable way of healing itself” and those words have become my mantra when I am dealing with an injury. Rest it, but not too much. Immobilizing...
