  Many of us take time daily to work on our bodies in a physical manner. As a person in the fitness industry for the past 5 years I think people are more active than ever and it’s amazing! But from time to time I think it’s good to check yourself and make sure that you are working on your real self; the stuff that makes you, you. Just like mobility and quoting awesome movies with co-workers, it is something best done daily. Take a moment from working on your double unders, Olympic lifts, Squats (just kidding), and checking in the mirror looking for abs to ask one simple question: “Would you want to hang out with yourself?”. Competitor Sports Class Structure  During the open, the first hour of CFP’s Competitor Sports Class will be dedicated to all athletes competing in the CrossFit Open.  The remainder of the class period will be dedicated to skill work and strength for all levels.  Skill and strength work will be adjusted accordingly to the Open workouts.   The Competitor Sports class is geared towards anyone interested in competing in CrossFit style events or just wanting the extra challenge of training like an “athlete”.   All levels A.  20 Min AMRAP 300M Row 20 x Pistols 15 x HSPU 10 x T2B -Post results under comments

 I did not train for the Open. However, the Open is part of my training.   Coach Roo   I’m guessing only a small handful of members specifically trained to compete in the CrossFit Games Open this year. The rest of us….. not so much. I totally respect those that put in the hours upon hours to try and rise to the top of the leaderboards, but I am not one of those people. I did not train for the Open. I do not plan on going to Regionals. However, I still registered for the Open because I see it as a training opportunity that I shouldn’t pass up. There’s this thing called life, that for majority of us, occurs mostly outside the walls of the gym. As cheesy as it sounds, that is what I am training for.
